In Germany, they have two kinds of latte's... One I think was called Cafe Latte, and the other was Latte Machiatto. We could not get anyone to tell us exactly what the difference was, other than that the machiatto was maybe a little more milky??? All good cafe's serve any espresso drink with a side of water (always sparkling unless you order it still and even then it isn't like our tap water). This was the first cafe experience we had after a delicious lunch somewhere in Berlin.

This is the infamous "TV Tower" in Berlin. We had a view of the tower from our hotel room - although this was taken outside. It is said that the west gave the east some money to build churches and they took the money instead and built this tv tower. If the sun shines on it just right, a cross appears on the silver part of the tower. German urban legand says that it is the popes curse on the government for not building churches...

These are just street signs... strasse (it's spelled differently because they put two ss together and make the "es-set"... don't ask :)) means street. They put that or platz (square) at the end of most street names just like we'd put avenue, street, way.. etc at the end of our words in America.

Funky bars, funky cars...
